Dr. Christy L. Kopasz moved to Telluride in 1995 for the love of the outdoors and mountain community. For 18 years, she practiced in Telluride as a dental hygienist, until pursuing a career as a dentist. Christy loves building relationships with her patients, and is very caring and thoughtful. She is very passionate about dentistry and focuses on providing gentle and relaxed patient care.
When Dr. Kopasz isn’t doing her dentistry, she loves spending her time with her son, Harris. She also enjoys gardening, camping, cross-country skiing and cycling.
Dr. Kopasz attended the University of Colorado, School of Dentistry for her undergraduate degree in Dental Hygiene, and the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation of dental school, she was the honorary recipient of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Award, Colorado Prosthodontics Award, Dr. Barry Beauvais/Special Care Dentistry Association Award, and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics.
Dr. Kopasz is now with Telluride Center for Dentistry practice. She recently completed a one-year; hospital based General Dentistry Residency at Denver Health Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Kopasz is gaining experience in general dentistry as well as oral surgery, pediatrics, operating room dentistry and dental trauma.
